CFO Moves: Xerox, JDS Uniphase, Billabong

Xerox Corp., based in Norwalk, Conn., said Chief Financial Officer Luca Maestri has resigned to become corporate controller at Apple Inc. An external search for a new CFO has been initiated, and Mr. Maestri will remain at Xerox until the end of February to assist with the transition, according to a press release. At Apple he succeeds Betsy Rafael, who retired in October. Mr. Maestri received compensation from Xerox in 2011 valued at $3.3 million, according to a proxy filing.

JDS Uniphase Corp., a broadband testing and management company based in Milpitas, Calif., promoted Rex Jackson to chief financial officer. He has been acting CFO since September, following the resignation of David Vellequette, and joined the company two years ago as senior vice president of business services. Mr. Vellequette received compensation in 2012 valued at $1.7 million, according to a proxy filing.
