MILPITAS, Calif. -- JDSU (NASDAQ: JDSU) today announced that it will highlight the latest solutions from its optical communications and network and service enablement portfolios at the Optical Fiber Communication Conference/National Fiber Optics Engineers Conference (OFC) at the Los Angeles Convention Center from March 24-26, 2015.

Conference attendees are invited to visit JDSU at booth #1703 at the Los Angeles Convention Center to see its latest offerings and learn about important product advancements that include:

TrueFlex Portfolio. JDSU is currently completing major design-in projects within high-volume network architectures with the latest version of its TrueFlex Single-Slot Super Transport Blade for metro and CD/CDC ROADM network infrastructures. The newest solution will also be showcased at OFC and includes:

  • TrueFlex Micro Twin 1x20 WSS, Optical Channel Monitor, Switchable-Gain Preamp EDFA, and Variable-Gain Booster EDFA in a single-slot line card envelope that sets the industry benchmark for ROADM-on-a-blade density.

    • Upgradeable Twin 4x16 Multicast Switch and 4 + 4 Array of Amplifiers in a single-slot line card envelope that sets the industry benchmark for Contentionless Add/Drop capacity and density.

JDSU is also announcing general availability of the Micro Twin 1x20 module, the key enabler for the newest generation of ROADM-on-a-blade implementations. This product supports test access port (2X20 configuration) and achieves best-in-industry density, cascaded optical performance and flexible spectrum control.

Client-SideTransceivers. JDSU continues to expand its portfolio of 100G transceivers, with the goal of providing cost effective solutions for telecom and datacom applications. The CFP4 LR4 is now ready for customer qualification and provides 33 percent improved power consumption over previous versions of LR4.

The company will also have several qualification samples ready by the second half of 2015 that enable high density and low cost transmission that include multiple QSFP28 offerings and CWDM4, LR4, and PSM4 solutions. Related activities at OFC will include demonstrations of the QSFP28 CWDM4 and a 4X100G over single mode fiber.

Line-SideTransceivers. JDSU will demonstrate a new CFP2-ACO module at OFC. These compact and form-factor pluggable coherent modules are highly integrated transceivers for high speed links within metro and regional networks. The CFP2-ACO represents the next generation of coherent interfaces that will be utilized over the next five to ten years. The 100G Micro-ICR, a key component within the CFP2-ACO that acts as the receiver engine, is also being made available for discrete coherent implementations.
