Problem:
What is the difference between Bidirectional OTDR and OEO OTDR in the Viavi FiberComplete setup?
Solution:
Bidirectional shoots a trace from both testsets and results are not combined. No datalink is required for bidirectional OTDR. OEO shoots a trace from both testsets, results are transferred to the Master unit and results are combined for an OEO results file. A datalink connection is required for OEO operation.
