STL-1400 Low Power LEO Receiver Module

Low-cost receiver module designed for low-size, weight, and power (SWaP), battery-operated handheld applications

The STL-1400 is an advanced, low-cost receiver module designed for low-size, weight, and power (SWaP), battery-operated handheld applications. The STL-1400 was designed to be used in combination with VIAVI’s Iridium-based SecureTime LEO Services. The STL-1400 delivers timing and dynamic/stationary positioning data at various accuracy levels using a signal from Iridium satellites. The STL-1400 integrates a high-end DSP chip to support SecureTime LEO services, ensuring maximum indoor/outdoor reception level. The STL-1400 incorporates a high-end disciplined oscillator for holdover capability.

Highlights

  • NMEA, 10 MHz, 1 PPS outputs
  • Low power modes (<0.5 W)
  • OCXO oscillator
  • Jamming and spoofing resistant

Applications

The STL-1400 is well-suited for highly demanding applications, especially in critical infrastructure relying on resilient PNT services to complement at-risk GPS/GNSS.

  • Alternate Timing Options - STL-1400

The STL-1400 supports SecureTime LEO services to maintain precise timing when GNSS signals are degraded, unavailable, or intentionally denied.

  • SecureTime LEO

Satellite-based timing service using a global LEO constellation with service availability in enabled regions. This option uses the altGNSS LEO-STL service with an integrated Viavi receiver, supporting indoor and outdoor antennas. The higher signal power from LEO satellites provides jamming resistance and improved availability in indoor environments.
