VIAVI Automated Lab-as-a-Service for Open RAN (VALOR™) is a purpose-built, AI-enabled Lab-as-a-Service for Open RAN, combining a 600+ automated test case library, a 25′ × 35′ RF anechoic chamber, NVIDIA GPU infrastructure, and on-site multi-vendor O-RAN reference configurations, all under one roof in Chandler, Arizona.

Funded by the NTIA's Public Wireless Supply Chain Innovation Fund (PWSCIF) and recognized as the industry's first AI-RAN Alliance–endorsed lab, VALOR delivers the full testing stack — from component conformance to end-to-end system validation — without the complexity of in-house lab investment.

As AI becomes central to Open RAN operations — from intelligent scheduling and resource management to autonomous fault resolution — validating AI applications in realistic, at-scale RAN environments is no longer optional. VALOR makes it possible.

The VALOR Lab in Chandler, Arizona

Operational since October 2024, the VALOR facility in Chandler, Arizona is a hybrid physical-and-cloud lab purpose-engineered for multi-vendor Open RAN testing.

The facility houses dedicated customer labs, co-location spaces, and a 25′ × 35′ RF anechoic chamber.

Powered by NVIDIA, the lab delivers the compute infrastructure required for AI/ML model training, application testing, and large-scale network simulation. Every customer workspace is VLAN-isolated, badge-restricted, and operated under a full NDA and IP protection framework.
