TestCenter Platforms

VIAVI TestCenter is used to test, measure, and validate network performance, scalability, and reliability across a wide range of environments including high-speed Ethernet networks, AI data center fabrics, cloud infrastructure, virtualized network functions, and service provider networks. It delivers deterministic L2-3 traffic generation, multi-protocol emulation, and real-time analytics to help service providers, network equipment manufacturers, hyperscalers, and enterprises validate infrastructure before and during deployment.

TestCenter emulates real-world AI and machine learning workload patterns, including RoCEv2-based Collective Communication Library (CCL) traffic, enabling validation of congestion management mechanisms such as PFC and DCQCN, microburst tolerance, GPU-to-GPU transport performance, and fabric stability under full load. The TestCenter D2 1.6T Appliance extends this to 1.6T speeds, supporting up to 6.4 Tbps of test traffic for hyperscale AI data center and neocloud environments.

TestCenter and ONE LabPro are complementary platforms covering different layers of the validation stack. ONE LabPro focuses on physical layer and optical validation, testing silicon, optical transceivers, and modules at L0-2 up to 1.6Tb/s. TestCenter handles L2-3 traffic generation, multi-protocol emulation, and network-level performance analytics. Together they provide end-to-end validation spanning L0 through L3, from optical components through full AI fabric and network infrastructure testing.

TestCenter supports an extensive protocol library including BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, MPLS, RSVP-TE, LDP, VPLS, FlexE, RoCEv2, IPv4/IPv6 unicast and multicast routing, LACP, STP/RSTP/MSTP, Y.1731, CFM, PBB, PBB-TE, and IPSec. It covers legacy and emerging protocols across carrier Ethernet, data center, mobile backhaul, and cloud networking use cases, with continuous updates to support evolving standards.

TestCenter is available as hardware appliances, including the TestCenter D2 1.6T Appliance for high-speed AI data center validation, modular chassis, and as TestCenter Virtual for software-based deployments. TestCenter Virtual supports major hypervisors including KVM, ESXi, and Hyper-V, and cloud platforms including AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform. TestCenter+ provides a modern web-based interface for both hardware and virtual deployments, supporting multi-user collaboration and centralized test resource management. TestCenter is complemented by an extensive automation framework and MCP server support for natural language test configuration and execution.
