Hazardous Substance Control
VIAVI is committed to compliance with all applicable laws and regulations controlling the use of hazardous substances in its products.
Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE)
VIAVI has implemented a comprehensive program to comply with the WEEE Directive as it applies to its test equipment products. Two environmentally-friendly solutions are available for the disposal of customer Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE): Trade-in or Take-back.
NOTE: the Take-back program is available to VIAVI test equipment customers only in countries where the WEEE legislation applies. Recycling centers that require detailed product information about the products in the Take-back program should contact The VIAVI WEEE program manager.
VIAVI CSR Initiative
We offer a trade-in program for some product lines and typically when an older generation of product is to be replaced by the next generation. This allows our loyal, return customers to upgrade to the latest technology. In turn, those used VIAVI products will be either resold as refurbished Encore Products or used for repair parts to continue to provide value to our customers and to reduce or eliminate waste of Earth’s valuable resources.
VIAVI Solutions offers trade-ins on used customer owned VIAVI Solutions in conjunction with the purchase of new VIAVI products. If interested, contact your VIAVI sales representative and identify the list of equipment for possible trade-in. VIAVI will analyze the request and, if acceptable, provide a credit upon the return of the used units against the price of the new VIAVI equipment.
VIAVI has partnered with Recycling Network Europe to offer a free WEEE collection and recycling service to its Network and Service Enablement customers. WEEE is collected from the customer site and is then disposed of in accordance with national and European environmental legislation.
To request take-back of WEEE, please contact your local customer care team to request login details and a reference number. Then return to this page and follow the link below.
