Public and Private Cloud and OpenStack work with Hybrid Cloud, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Azure, OpenStack, and Tenant Test Cases

The following use case demonstrates how TeraVM is used with Public & Private Cloud and OpenStack work with Hybrid Cloud, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Azure, OpenStack, and Tenant Test Cases.

Public & Private Cloud and OpenStack

Hybrid Cloud

The hybrid cloud is enabling enterprises to extend and/or scale their compute and networking needs in a more flexible manner, enterprises can elect to outsource e.g. (Amazon AWS) or manage in-house e.g. (OpenStack) a virtual compute platform for their private or public needs.
The managed virtual compute platform is highly configurable and can be modelled to the specification of physical infrastructure including the ability to define all of the security settings.

Amazon Web Services (AWS)

Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) is a central part of Amazon's cloud computing platform, Amazon Web Services (AWS). EC2 allows users to rent virtual computers on which to run applications. With TeraVM AMI (Amazon Machine Image) customers can deploy a sophisticated IP test solution in EC2 in order to test or validate their virtual or cloud offerings (e.g. firewall, load balancer) or even a hybrid cloud deployment where EC2 serves as the public cloud component.

Azure

TeraVM supports performance validation in the Azure cloud. This compliments the existing support for the Amazon cloud. In addition to public cloud, TeraVM also supports OpenStack Kilo release.

OpenStack

OpenStack enables Enterprises to quickly deploy resources similar to commercially available cloud deployments. TeraVM can be fully instantiated into the OpenStack virtual cloud and is used to test and measure the performance of both the Openstack platform and the compute instances of other available virtual network functions such as vSwitch, vLoad balancer, vFirewall, vDPI, etc from within the Openstack cloud.

Tenant Test Cases

As with all tenant type systems, performance testing is required to ensure the resource configuration of storage, network and compute are available and that the security which prevents data leaks between tenants is correctly configured.
