Prerequisites:

  • It is recommended that the current Fiber Optics Software is at least 13.10.

Download Instructions:

  • Visit https://8k.updatemyunit.net
  • Go to the first entry Labelled Download Latest Fiber Optics Software Application.
  • Click on the flag icon to download from that regional server.
    • File Size: 305.22M & 1862.94M
  • Download the exe file to your PC.
  • Once download completes, double click on file and select the USB drive and hit OK to uncompact files to USB.

Installation Instructions:

  • Place the USB on the 8000 V2 mainframe and press HOME and then CONNECTIVITY. 
  • Press UPGRADE, SOFTWARE UPGRADE and then UPGRADE FROM USB. Press
  • Confirm when prompted.
  • Once the USB versions display on the right side if the screen press CONFIRM THIS CHOICE.
