Question:
How do you detect and find a battery cross on a copper pair?
Answer:
A battery cross can be detected with a digital volt meter when the pair is open at the far end. Any DC voltage on a T-G or R-G measurement means it is crossed or resistively connected to a working pair with battery on it. The best way to locate the fault would be an RFL (Resistive Fault Locate) test.
