Problem:
How do I interpret the IL results graph on my Viavi 40G Certifier?
Solution:
IL is insertion loss and is the amount of signal lost during transmission through the cable. As high loss is undesirable, the smaller the value the better the result. Y axis of the graph plots with a small value at the top and larger at the bottom so a passing result will plot above the limit line.
