Avalanche: Cyberflood: Why Am I getting error message "Cannot find /sysrcd.dat on devices" when reimaging my VIAVI Chassis C1 / C100-S3 / CF20 / CF30 / C200 / CF400
The following error message, can be seen because the USB Flash Drive is damaged, probably because the Image Source file downloaded got corrupted while downloaded from the internet or simply because the burning process for the USB Flash Drive did not go well. For any case, we should verify and validate that the required files are present before starting again a reimage process using the same USB Flash Drive.
Consider any of the following actions to correct this problem:
• Verify file integrity using any MD5 / SHA1 checksum utility.
•
• Windows 10 and Windows 11 OS has a built in command (CMD and PowerShell) to verify this file integrity, just check google for more details.
• Verify that the USB Flash Drive is not corrupted or damaged.
• Confirm you can list and read files / folders.
• Verify that the USB Flash Drive contents (files/folders) do match with something similar with below image:
