Problem:

When my Viavi ONX-580 sits for a while it powers itself off even though the battery is fully charged.

Solution:

There is a power management setting that controls auto shut off on the unit when operating on battery power and no keys are touched within a specific amount of time. To adjust this setting go to System Settings>Screen & Power Management>Power Off Delay.
