Problem:
Can I use copper leads, on my HST, for DSL testing rather than the DSL RJ port?
Solution:
Not all DSL modules support use of the copper test leads for DSL testing, so it depends on which module you have. INF modules and the BDCM WB2-1 and higher BDCM modules can conduct DSL testing using copper leads. These modules have a DSL interface configuration parameter under the modem’s general settings tab that allows users to configure either RJ or t/r/g. Select t/r/g to use the copper test leads at the top of the module and select RJ to use the 8 pin modular jack on the right hand side of the module.
The original BDCM-WB2 module cannot use the copper testing leads for testing DSL.
