Will my Viavi P5000 work on a 64 bit installation of Windows?
It depends on how old the P5000 is. Check the serial number on the body of the probe. Serial number format is XXXXX-YYYY-ZZZ. The YYYY section of the serial number indicates the product version. If the product version has an 811x number with no letters, such as 8110 or 8111 then the probe is too old to support 64 bit operation. If the the product version has letters following the 811x designation, such as 811B or 811B2 then it is 64 bit capable as are all versions greater than 81xx. Support for the P5000 was dropped as of Windows 10. The P5000 was replaced by the P5000i.
