Reseating hardware on a MTS/TB 8000/8000E

Turn the unit off and unplug the AC power adapter. Lay the unit display side down on a flat surface. Unscrew the large screws in each corner of the battery pack on the rear. Once all the screws have been loosened remove the battery pack from the unit and turn it over. Remove the small allen key from the slot within the battery pack. Insert the allen key into each corner and loosen the screws in all four corners. Once all corners have been loosened you can lift off that slice. Repeat the process until all slices have been removed. To reinstall the slices, reverse the process. Placed the first slice down on the UIM. Tightened the screws on all four corners, then add the next slice and repeat the process until you reach the battery pack. Be sure to place the allen key back into its slot before attaching the battery pack.
