Removing hardware from an MTS\TB-6000A

What are the proper procedures for removing hardware from the MTS\TB 6000A\6000A V2?

SFP or XFP optics can removed at any time without having to perform any other actions. Physical Interfaces Modules (PIMs) installed in an MSAM should only be added or removed after inactivating the BERT module from the SYSTEM/HOME screen. To remove or insert an MSAM or any of the Fiber Optic Testing modules (OTDR, OSA, ODM, etc.), the unit should be powered off and the AC power removed.
