Unable to select test on my 5800

Question: 
Viavi MTS/TBERD bert (5800/600A/8000) unable to select test from menu. I see it in the test menu tree but it is grayed out.
Answer: 
Tests are grayed out in the test menu for two reasons. The first reason is that the test is already launched. Look for a tab at the top of the test screen that shows which test/tests are currently launched. If the test is already launched then touch on the test tab at the top of the screen to move to the results screen for that test. The second reason a test selection would be grayed out so that you could not select it is that required resources are not available. There are some tests that are only allowed when no other test is running concurrently. If this is the case then you can remove the currently running tests. Once the prior tests have been removed you should be able to launch the desired test from the test menu.
