Problem:
How do I interpret the ACR-F or PS-ACR-F results graph on my Viavi 40G Certifier?
Solution:
ACR-F is Attenuation to Crosstalk Ratio Far End which is the crosstalk received at the opposite end of the cable, from the transmitted signal, with the insertion loss of the cable subtracted. As we do not want a lot of crosstalk, the bigger the number the better the result. Y axis maps with a small value at the top and larger at the bottom so a passing value will map below the limit line. PS-ACR-F is Power Sum ACR-F and is the summed effect of three pairs causing crosstalk on one pair and a passing value would again map below the limit line.
