Problem:
Is it necessary to have an angled tip to inspect an angled fiber?
Solution:
You should have an APC tip to inspect an APC fiber. When there is a dimensional mismatch between the tip and the fiber (example: an APC tip used to inspect a UPC fiber,or a UPC tip used to inspect an APC fiber) only ~60% of the image will be in focus at any one time.
