Problem:

How do I tell if my handheld fiber inspection probe is an analog probe or a digital probe?

Solution:

For a digital probe, such as the P5000 or P5000i, the cord coming off the end of the probe ends in a USB connector. For an older analog probe, the cord coming off the probe does not end in a USB connector. Analog probes end in a round connector usually with 4 pins and required a analog to USB converter to connect them to a PC.
