Problem:
When I run OTDR from within Viavi FiberComplete, it changes my OTDR setup parameters and stores the OTDR traces as an msor file(All Traces) rather than the sor (One Trace) that I configured on the OTDR file setup.
Solution:
Go to the FCOMP setup screen and change OTDR Acquisition from AUTO to EXPERT OTDR (or MANUAL for older software versions). In order to use the OTDR setup that the user has manually configured, it is necessary that the FCOMP setup have the OTDR acquisition set to Manual. When this parameter is in Auto, the FCOMP will override the OTDR settings automatically.
