Problem:
I have a spot, in the fiber inspection image using my Viavi inspection scope, that is in the same place no matter what fiber I inspect.
Solution:
A spot that is always in the same place and does not change as you rotate the fiber is somewhere in the optical path of the probe itself. Remove the inspection tip and use lens paper to wipe gently in one direction on the lens. If this does not correct the issue then the probe will have to be returned for service.
