Problem:
HST can sync to the DSL signal, but it cannot pull an IP address.
Solution:
Users should verify that the HST settings match the local network configuration settings to the DSL line with which they are synching up. For ATM-based signals, verify the following configuration parameters on the Data tab: Data mode, VCC, and Encapsulation. For PTM-based signals, check the VLAN configuration on the LAN tab. For DHCP lines, check the IP mode on the WAN tab. For PPP lines, check the PPP username, password, use provider, and provider name on the PPP tab.
