Problem:
Viavi ONX-580 DSL modem screen show boot error instead of idle or training.
Solution:
Power the ONX down and remove the AC adapter. Turn the unit over the loosen the two large screws at the top and at the bottom on the back of the unit (DSL module). Remove the DSL module and inspect the connectors and then reseat the module. Tighten the screws finger tight and then power the unit up and launch the DSL application. If the modem error persists then try a reset factory defaults from the SYSTEM screen. If the modem boot error will not clear then the unit will need service.
