Avalanche: Cyberflood: What is the IP address table limit for Avalanche / Cyberflood?
For NIC-27: 512K entries • This is a NIC-27 FPGA limitation • The limit cannot be increased by software For NIC-64/67: 2M entries • Starting with 5.03 version, Avalanche has increased the NIC-64/67 IP Address table to 2 Milion entries • Prior to 5.03, all Avalanche supported NICs (except for the 4x100G HW), have an IP address table of 512K per NIC • The 4x100G profile has 1M IP addresses per NIC limitation • Note that increasing the capacity 4x from 512K to 2Million does not mean that 4x100G would also go from 1Million to 4Million What happens if the limit is not respected? If you decide not to respected this limit, it will not stop you to configure/run a test. But there would be some consequences for not respecting the limit, such as: 1. Hash collisions (multiple IP addresses will be mapped to the same entry) 2. Test results/statistics affected
