How do I enter the variable to get rid of this error: "Cannot find the environment variable: TSHARKDIR" with Protocol Designer when importing a pcap file?
Go to the Control Panel on your PC and open the System Properties.
in System Properties select the Advanced Tab and then go to the button near the bottom labeled "Evironment Variables" and click on it.
On the next Popup select "New" in the "User Variables for "
Enter "TSHARKDIR" in the 'Variable name' entry point and "C:\Program Files\Wireshark" or to the directory where it is installed on your pc if different than the example.
You might need to restart the pc for the change to take effect.
