STC v5.58 Released   VIAVI is excited to announce the availability of VIAVI TestCenter (STC) v5.58. STC is an end-to-end test and validation solution delivering high performance, massive scale, and advanced statistics from the Cloud to 800Gbps.   This release brings improvements to AI Data Center testing, including enhanced Collective Communications Library (CCL) traffic emulation and RoCEv2 support on B2 800G appliances. It also introduces Autonomous Flow Tracking (AFT) on the B3 8-port 800G and provides updates to access and protocol emulation, expanded routing capabilities, critical issue resolutions, and more.     Release VIAVI TestCenter v5.58 Key New Features AI Datacenter – RoCEv2 & CCL: • RoCEv2 support on  B2 800G appliances: Our B2 appliances now deliver full support for RoCEv2 and CCL at both 400G and 800G speeds, reinforcing VIAVI’s commitment to high-performance, future-ready testing capabilities on a wide range of appliances.   • CCL advances with support for RoCEv2 RC mode and 1KB Data Size: This update brings increased flexibility for transport service types, moving beyond Unreliable Datagram. With support for RoCEv2 RC mode and optimized performance for 1KB data sizes, our solution is now better equipped for latency-sensitive, small-packet, and complex real-world scenarios.   • CCL Algorithm Alternating Ring: The latest release includes support for the new Alternating Ring algorithm. It enables the creation of two bi-directional rings within a single communicator, enhancing traffic modeling efficiency and protocol behavior.   Autonomous Flow Tracking (AFT): • AFT is now supported on the B3 8-port appliance for 800G speed. Please note, lower speed configurations on the B3 800G platform do not support AFT at this time.   Access/ Protocols: • Disable Older Version Compatibility for IGMPv3 and MLDv2: STC can now operate exclusively in IGMPv3 or MLDv2 mode, eliminating fallback to legacy versions. By discarding older query types, it ensures more accurate multicast behavior, preserves source-specific multicast integrity, and minimizes the risk of anomalous traffic patterns, delivering cleaner and more deterministic test outcomes.   • NTP Startup Rate up to 4000: This feature increases the NTP "Startup Rate(session/sec)" from 1000 session per second to up to 4000 sessions per second.    Routing: • Enhancement of BFD and S-BFD: This release brings greater flexibility and realism to TI-LFA testing by enabling BFD and S-BFD to emulate both initiator and responder roles (with or without SRH). • SRv6 insert mode: IPv6+SRH+UDP+BFD • SRv6 encapsulation mode: IPv6+SRH+IPv6+UDP+BFD • SRv6 encapsulation mode with SRH popped: IPv6+IPv6+UPD+BFD Support for 3 SRv6 message formats improves protocol coverage, while the addition of BFD Echo Responder Session Results for IPv4 and IPv6 delivers deeper visibility and validation directly within STC’s results.   • BGP Link-State Received Outstanding Routes: Real-time visibility is improved by adding outstanding route counts alongside accumulated totals in BGP Link-State Results. This allows users to distinguish between all routes ever received and those currently active, delivering clearer insights into live route status across Nodes, Links, Prefixes, SRv6 SIDs, and SR Policy Candidate Paths.   • Support BGP-LS SPF in BGP Route Generator Wizard:  Users can define topologies within the wizard, enabling automated generation of BGP-LS SPF routes for both IPv4 and IPv6, simplifying configuration and accelerating deployment for topology-aware scenarios.   • ISIS Support Instance Identifier TLV: Adds support for the Instance Identifier TLV, enabling more advanced and granular multi-instance IS-IS testing.
