VIAVI Test Center | How does Fill Custom option work for VRF Route Target?

Knowledge Base - FAQ

N/A
In this case we are using a VRF Route Target with format X:N If you Use Fill Custom you'll see a screen like this: All Fields will work as expected but for the one for "Step" on that field the only value that will be modified is the "N" portion, even is you fill the field in format X:N, actually if you fill "1:0" or "0:1" the system will interpret as a "1" and behave like that (as in the image example) if you fill anything different of those 2 values (i. e. "2:3") it will be ignored and treated as 0, aside of thet if you wrine any normal integer on that field it will behave as explained, modifying the "N" portion Nevertheless if you need a more complex modification you can use the "Fill Increment" instead of "Fill Custom"   Using Fill increment you need to indicate in the mask field which value you want to modify for the X:N format, if you select 0:FFFF the modified value will be the N, but if you select the FFFF:0 then the X will be the modified value, nevertheless this method does not allow to fill repeat values, for that there was included the "Custom Increment" option on release 5.58.
