VIAVI TestCenter - 4.96 - Able to ping a device IP on VIAVI even though Respond to Ping box unchecked

  • When an STC port is ONLINE, customer can ping the device on STC from the remote end router • When STC port is offline, can't ping the device on STC from the remote end router • When the port is brought back online, NOW could not ping the IP address on STC, so checked the box on the right "respond to ping" and was able to ping from remote address but now when unchecking the "respond to ping", the ping WORKS. This happens event after have applied changes on STC GUI. Result: The Respond to feature worked once after the port was made offline / Online but then broke again.
