VIAVI TestCenter: Are the PX3-400G-T2 module's pre-coding, gray-coding and Rx equalization defaulted on or off and is there a way to change it?

• Pre-coding • When AN is disabled, pre-coding is OFF/disabled • When AN/LT is enabled, the DUT can request pre-coding and STC will honor that request and enable pre-coding. • Note this requires modules/appliances that support AN/LT • see FAQ18879 for the models' 80 level part numbers that support AN/LT • No user interface to enable/disable it. • Gray-coding • It is always ON. • No user interface to enable/disable it.  • Rx Equalization • When using DAC • the module enables DFE • This is default for Auto-detect • Right now VIAVI does not Auto-detect any optics to switch to the RX equalization • When using fiber • the module does not enable DFE • You must choose Manual Mode for optics.  In the future firmware code will be able to change the setting for optics in Auto-detect. • Swizzle • This is not implemented on Tx nor Rx • Rather the transmit and expected receive bit ordering is as defined in the spec.
