VIAVI TestCenter: Can DX/PX type modules support streams that increment or decrement frame length as well as streams configured with Random or iMIX frame lenght?
• There are some considreations about Frame Lenght Mode within DX and PX type modules:   • Increment / Decrement Frame Length Mode: • Cannot have multiple blocks with increment or decrement frame length modes. • Only a single stream block can be created with increment or decrement frame length. • Random and iMIX  Frame Length Mode: • Cannot have multiple streamblocks with a mix of either “iMIX” and “Random” frame length mode. • You can create multiple streamblocks within same port, all of them with - Frame Length mode = Random, OR  all of them with  – Frame Length mode = iMIX, but not both of them. • There is a 2048 length limitation when using increment/Decrement (128 to 9000) mode, but it’s OK with random mode (This limitation has nothing to do with the message showing to you, but it’s important to mention, as you said, customer has met this criteria) The GUI will automatically display an error message when user applies such a configuration on a DX type module, hence Apply will fail.. Error message: • Invalid input parameters: Cannot have multiple blocks with different non-fixed frame lentgh modes
