VIAVI TestCenter: Is CTLE negotiated during link training?
• Receive-side CTLE (continuous time linear equalization) is not negotiated during LT (link training) the way that the transmit settings are negotiated. • However, the bitmux does automatically adjust CTLE at the end of LT to optimize the receiver.
