VIAVI TestCenter: Fixed Body Size
This parameter inside TCP in VIAVI TestCenter specifies the amount of data that is going to be sent between the beginning of the TCP session and the end of the TCP session. After the specified data is transmitted the TCP session is going to end and a new session is going to be created until the traffic is stopped in the STC GUI and each new session created and terminated counts as a connection. Using this parameter increases the TCP goodput. We perform a few tests sending TCP traffic and analysing the packets in Wireshark. The first example is with 64 bytes specified Fixed Body Size and the second one with 1MB. 64 bytes 1MB In this article, you can find the PCAP file created in the tests.
