VIAVI TestCenter: How to prevent all ports from going offline on GUI after another port gets disconnected?
Workaround for this issue is an .ini setting. ( stcbll.ini and stcbll.server.ini )
Setting releaseAllPortsOnError to “false” should allow the system to remain connected and continue.
Example:
[system]
releaseAllPortsOnError=false
Customer with VIAVI TestCenter Application need to edit the stcbll.ini. (Located in C:\Program Files\VIAVI Communications\VIAVI TestCenter X.xx\VIAVI TestCenter Application)
Customer with Lab Server needs to edit the stcbll.ini on the PC and stcbll.server.ini on the lab server.
Be aware this should only be used under special circumstances when you would not care or still make use of data if a port went off line. You can argue that if one of your ports went off line, your test data may not be valid.
Since this is not our normal mode of operation, it doesn’t get a lot of testing from PV. We should not advertise this for general use. The results can be trusted, it is not as if stats will be wrong,
You can also set in the GUI Defaults Manager.
