• AP Emulation is a separate license. • Set AP Emulation in Technologies. • Enable AP Emulation check box at both the Port and Device need to be selected. • You can’t run test between two ports in the same port group – because they are inside same NIC. • It may look like it is working but its not how it should be used. • If directly connecting cables to the VIAVI Wifi ports, please make sure you deploy/configure attenuation in between – otherwise it might fry radio. • ​If it is Over the Air (OTA) testing, it should be ok although attenuation will still affect signal. • A few wave2 module has inner attenuators (you can see “Channel Attenuation” in port config) and by default that deply 30DB attenuation and that’s good to go. • However if the another port is also a wave2 port (like B2B) with channel attenuation then you might need to reduce it because it’s too much for 60DB attenuation totally. • “Tx Power Attenuation” is just reduce tx power and it’s very limited to use. • If external attenuators are connected then you don’t need “Channel Attenuation” on GUI.
