VIAVI TestCenter: Is there a way to change the counter mode in an RFC test?
Some tests default to a particular counter mode. For example, the 802.11 Rate vs. Range, will automatically set the counter mode to "Latency-Jitter Mode." The default counter mode, however, may need to be changed, for whatever reason (e.g., see KNI16481 or for 2544, the "Inter-arrival Time Mode" does not support "Dropped Count" so perhaps "Basic Mode" is desired). So, to change the counter mode, you can do the following:
• First, determine the command which changes the counter mode, for example:
• The 802.11 Rate versus Range test, changes the counter mode after the "Store Result" command.
• The RFC 2544 Throughput Test, changes the counter mode on "BenchmarkTestStartCommand" command.
• Then in the Command Sequencer, click Edit Sequence
• Select the command which changes the counter mode, for example:
• for the 802.11 Rate versus Range test, changes the counter mode after the "Store Result" command.
• for the RFC 2544 Throughput Test, changes the counter mode on "BenchmarkTestStartCommand" command.
• Add the "Set Counter Mode" command to the command sequence. It will get added below the selected command.
• Right-Click the new counter and set to Forwarding Performance Mode
• Right-Click the Latency-Jitter Mode counter and delete.
