PRODUCT UPDATE Announcing VIAVI TestCenter v5.60  VIAVI TestCenter v5.60 delivers unmatched performance, scale, and visibility from the Cloud to 800G. This release supercharges AI Data Center, Hyperscaler, and numerous test cases:   • Enhanced CCL traffic emulation and RoCEv2 support enhancements for more realistic AI workload validation • New and improved capabilities for access and routing protocols, TestCenter IQ, Automotive and API support     Release VIAVI TestCenter 5.60 Key new features AI Datacenter – RoCEv2 & CCL capabilities have been greatly expanded with many new features and functions across numerous hardware platforms, allowing for more comprehensive and flexible test scenarios, improved statistics, and reporting • CCL Flexible Scheduling Size for AlltoAll (with & without PXN) • Deliver precise traffic control with customizable frame scheduling. This feature enables seamless alignment with RDMA message sizes, allowing for optimized data flow and streamlined performance tuning across diverse test scenarios. • CCL Scheduling Per Communicator • Gain full control over workload execution with per-communicator iteration timing. This enhancement supports independent scheduling, even in mixed traffic environments, providing greater flexibility and accuracy in test configuration. • 4K QPs RC Support on B3, B2 & A1 Appliances • Extend DCQCN capabilities with support for up to 4096 Queue Pairs (QPs) per port across B3, B2, and A1 modules. QPs are efficiently grouped into stream blocks, max 128 per port, to ensure optimal congestion management. This enhancement preserves full compatibility with existing tools and results, enabling scalable, reliable RoCEv2 performance. • RoCEv2 Support on B3 & B2 (200G & 100G) with 4K QPs RC & 4K QPs UD • The B3 and B2 appliances support full RoCEv2 support at 200G and 100G speeds, with up to 4096 QPs per port for both Reliable Connection (RC) and Unreliable Datagram (UD) modes. This includes support for IPv4/IPv6 traffic, DCQCN, PFC, and seamless integration with the existing RoCEv2 wizard, classic results, and TCIQ results. • New DCQCN Logic Support on A1, B3, & B2 Appliances • Experience smarter congestion control with enhanced DCQCN logic, now available on A1, B3, and B2 appliances. This update introduces adjustable rate increase parameters in tests, assessing  network recovery while maintaining high performance. The updated VIAVI TestCenter wizard makes configuration intuitive, empowering users to fine-tune traffic behavior for optimal results. Access Protocols: • LACP Turn Down immediately when Physical Link is Down • LACP now reacts instantly to physical link failures, terminating connections without waiting for timeout. This ensures faster failover and significantly improves overall network reliability. • BGP TCP-AO Authentication (RFC 5925) • BGP supports TCP-AO authentication using SHA1 and AES-128 in addition to MD5. A new "Authentication" drop-down menu includes TCP-AO as an option. • This feature requires license BPK-1390 TCP AUTHENTICATION OPTION or AON-PB-RTSW. • Automatic Population of BGP NLRI AFI Capability for Multicast Routes • Automatically populates and announces NLRI AFI/Sub-AFI/NextHop AFI based on added multicast routes. Capabilities are removed automatically when all related routes are deleted. TestCenter IQ (TCIQ): • Add RFC2889 Broadcast Frames Forwarding Test Profile view • VIAVI TestCenter now supports viewing RFC2889 Broadcast Frame Forwarding test results directly in TestCenter IQ (TCIQ). Routing Protocols: • SRV6 VPN Wizard Support Multiple P routers in Single Port • Users can more easily enable Sub-Interface and set the Sub-Interface count and DUT IPv6 Address Step when configuring Provider Ports. • TLS Support for PCEP (RFC 8253) • Enables TLS 1.2 (Transport Layer Security) to secure PCEP interactions per RFC 8253, with selectable TLS roles: Server, Client, or None. • IGP Flexible Algorithms in IP Network for OSPFv2 • Users can now configure the IP Algorithm TLV within Opaque/Router Info LSAs to define algorithm values, enabling more dynamic and customizable routing behavior. • Additional sub-TLVs under OSPFv3 SRv6 Locator TLV: • In the OSPFv3 SRv6 Locator TLV, 4 new sub-TLV are added for more use cases: • IPv6-Forwarding-Address sub-TLV [RFC8362] • Route-Tag sub-TLV [RFC8362] • Prefix Source OSPF Router-ID sub-TLV [RFC9084] • Prefix Source Router Address sub-TLV [RFC9084] Automotive: • Drift Tracking TLV Support • Improves clock synchronization by enabling communication of clock drift between Grandmasters across different gPTP domains, as well as between primary and subordinate nodes. Automation API: • Added OTG and gNMI APIs for testing in ONDATRA and SNAPPI Environments • Testing is now easier and more flexible with added OTG and gNMI API support in ONDATRA and SNAPPI environments. This enhancement enables streamlined testing of key protocols like BGP, IS-IS, and OSPFv2, with simplified setup via Docker Compose. Users can quickly run complex, multi-device tests, accelerating development and automation workflows.
