VIAVI TestCenter Virtual - What is the process to upgrade the different STC virtual ports (ESXi, QEMU, OpenStack, Container, Docker & STC Anywhere).

VIAVI TestCenter Virtual v5.57 and above no longer support upgrades on any virtual platform.   Below is information for v5.56 and below but as you can see only QEMU/KVM and OpenStack really had this option.   VMware ESXi - There is no upgrade procedure for these VMs.  The user must create a new VM to upgrade to the new releases.  Consult the "VIAVI TestCenter Virtual Quick Start Guide" under Related Resources under the "VIAVI TestCenter Virtual Machine, v5.xx for VMware" image on the VIAVI Customer Service Center (CSC) website. QEMU / KVM - These VMs can be upgraded in the normal manner just like any chassis using the “VIAVI TestCenter Firmware for Virtual Images and Virtual Controller” images from the VIAVI CSC after they are unzipped.  Unfortunately, if the VM is rebooted or there is a power failure, the VM will revert back to the firmware version it was originally built on.  The VMs will have to be upgraded back to the needed release. OpenStack - These VMs can be upgraded in the normal manner just like any chassis using the “VIAVI TestCenter Firmware for Virtual Images and Virtual Controller” images from the VIAVI CSC after they are unzipped.  Unfortunately, if the VM is rebooted or there is a power failure, the VM will revert back to the firmware version it was originally built on.  The VMs will have to be upgraded back to the needed release. LXC Container - There is no upgrade procedure for these Containers.  The user must create new Containers to upgrade to the new releases.  Consult the "VIAVI TestCenter LXC Container with libvirt Quick Start Guide" under Related Resources under the "VIAVI TestCenter Linux Containers, v5.xx for Linux" image on the VIAVI CSC website STC Container / Docker - There is no upgrade procedure for these Dockers.  The user must create a new Docker to upgrade to the new releases.  Consult the "VIAVI TestCenter Container Docker Quick Start Guide" under Related Resources under the "VIAVI TestCenter Container Docker, v5.xx for Linux" image on the VIAVI CSC website. STC Anywhere - This program has been discontinued as of the 5.36 release, and no new images have been released.  These programs can be upgraded or downgraded in the normal manner just like any chassis using the “VIAVI TestCenter Firmware for Virtual Images and Virtual Controller” firmware images from the VIAVI CSC "Archived Release" after they are unzipped.
