VIAVI TestCenter: What are the LACP hashing modes supported?
VIAVI TestCenter supports L2 and L3 hashing. To enable them you must set the Traffic Algorithm to Hashing.
• L2 hashing selects one or more fields to be used when hashing layer-2 frames. These settings are used only on frames that do not contain layer-3 packets.
OptionDescriptionEthernet SourceHash-based on the Ethernet Source Address.Ethernet DestinationHash-based on the Ethernet Destination Address.VLANHash-based on the VLAN Tag Control Information (TCI) field for all VLAN tags in the frame.MPLSHash-based on the 20-bit label in all MPLS headers in the frame.
• L3 hashing selects one or more fields to be used when hashing layer-3 packets. These settings are used on any frame that contains a layer-3 packet.
OptionDescriptionEthernet SourceHash-based on the Ethernet Source Address.Ethernet DestinationHash-based on the Ethernet Destination Address.VLANHash-based on the VLAN Tag Control Information (TCI) field for all VLAN tags in the frame.MPLSHash-based on the 20-bit label in all MPLS headers in the frame.IPv4 SourceHash-based on the IPv4 Source Address.IPv4 DestinationHash-based on the IPv4 Destination Address.IPv6 SourceHash-based on the IPv6 Source Address.IPv6 DestinationHash-based on the IPv6 Destination Address.UDPHash-based on the UDP Source and Destination port numbers.TCPHash-based on the TCP Source and Destination port numbers
