VIAVI TestCenter: What is behavior for port channel configuration of LACP LAG?
• v4.41 and beyond has a new feature to support LAG emulation
• You can bring up the Help in the GUI and search for "Aggregated" to find information on this feature.
• Thus if you have v4.41 and higher click on this FAQ link FAQ15110 to see which modules are supported with this new feature.
• If you have lower than v4.41, the implementation is more to test the DUT load balance/failover behavior.
• Example:
Sending traffic from upstream side into DUT to forward across the LAG.
•
• Although you can still configure to have LAG on both sides of the DUT but traffic from TestCenter side as you have seen is still per physical port.
This should be okay if the object is to test the remote LAG on the other side of the DUT.
• So for these older versions the VIAVI modules cannot be used to emulate an aggregation device.
• In which case LACP is limited to sending/receiving LACP control plane message.
• You will need to upgrade to v4.41 or higher to emulate an aggregation device.
