VIAVI TestCenter: Why does toggling AN on then off on a MX3-100GQ-T2 port, in 40G mode, in some cases allow the link to come up and in others, clears Rx errors?

• A configuration file is loaded and applied • 63 ports, IPv4, full mesh test • There are two issues: • Some ports do not link up • Performing shut/no shut on the DUT side does nothing • Other ports where link is up, test traffic is received with FCS, IPv4 checksum, and UDP checksum errors. • On STC side the following actions result in the above issues being resolved: • reboot the STC port • changing the port's autonegotiation (AN) settings and restoring them • In GUI, on the port that is down go to the Port level -> General tab • change the setting from Disable AN/Disable FEC -> Enable AN + apply  then from Enable AN -> Disable AN/Disable FEC + apply • Reseating the DACs was not tried but it might work
