Problem:
Unable to start traffic on the HST Ethernet Layer 2 terminate test. It is greyed out and cannot be selected.
Solution:
Unable to Start traffic usually occurs because the link is not active. Check the LED results category under the display tab to determine if the link active is illuminated. If it is not then check the unit's auto negotiation settings and make sure it matches the configuration of the port you are plugging into on the network. If Ethernet optical testing check to ensure the correct type of optics are installed and that your laser is turned ON. If Ethernet electrical testing check to make sure that you are connecting to the top port on the left side of the module labelled R/T 1. The electrical port on the top of the HST mainframe is not used for traffic generation testing.
