How do I compensate my copper test leads on my Viavi HST-3000?
Answer:
Lead compensations can be performed in DVOM, OPENS or RFL. When DVOM is used, be sure to select a resistance measurement rather than a voltage measurement. Launch the desired application and then press the CONFIG button. The unit will display a picture on how it wants the test leads (open or shorted). Connect or open the test leads as shown in the picture and then press the Compensate button at the bottom of the screen. ,
