Problem:
Can I access the HST remotely over an Ethernet connection?
Solution:
A software option is necessary for remote operation. Units with the option installed can be accessed remotely over the HST mainframe’s Ethernet jack. An IP addresses must be configured under SYSTEM>INSTRUMENT>PORTS>ETHERNET and Remote Operation must be enabled under SYSTEM>INSTRUMENTS>REMOTE OPERATION. Any free VNC program can be used for the remote access. Directions on navigation under remote as in the HST-3000 base user's manual. SCPI command line operation is not available on the HST-3000,
